We are extremely pleased to announce that only in its 4th season as an established class, the Kona One met the ISAF criteria’s and was acknowledged with an overwhelming 11 to 2 majority vote
at the 2009 ISAF conference last November – among the 13 international delegates.. Looking forward to another exciting season with Kona cups taking place in more countries than ever - and this years Worlds happening directly at South Miami Beach.

What do you do to become an ISAF class.???

Hi AG,
To become an ISAF class you have to get support from minimum 4 national authorities - (federations) saying they support the class in their countries and that active racing is taking part. Additionally we have to prove that 50+ boards have been sold in those countries. With those criterias in place - we are able to apply for a recognized status - but it will finally be decided by simple majority vote at the ISAF conference as explained above. Not so easy.:)
